🎬 Big Wins for Our Digital Design Students! 🎉
Yesterday, we attended the 1st Annual MDCP Film Festival, and our students didn’t just show up—they took center stage.
With only two weeks to film and edit, our students competed in two intense challenges:
🏗️ Competitive Capture – Tasked with filming a live Construction Competition at Victor Valley College, they created a professional-grade highlight reel under real-world pressure.
🥇 Result: 1st Place!
🎥 Creative Film Capture – Given just a prompt, students had two weeks to write, film, and edit a compelling 3–5 minute short film from scratch.
🥇 Result: 1st Place in Cinematography!
🎉 Congratulations to our incredible teams:
📸 Competitive Capture: Zavannah Weethee, Ivan Camacho, Titus Smith & Roberto Michel
🎬 Creative Film: Luis Vega, Sofia Marquina & Jeremiah Clark and Special Thanks to our Actors: Erik Velasquez and Alex Butler
This is what happens when creativity meets hustle. We couldn’t be prouder!
🎟️ Special thanks to MDCP for hosting such an incredible event and to the Town of Apple Valley for allowing students to showcase their work on the big screen at the movie theater! 🎥🍿
